Here at Wigsandgowns we’re big fans of Diane Von Furstenburg. Not only did she give the world the comfortable and stylish wrap dress, she also helped found Fordham’s Fashion Law Institute. The current president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America has now gone a step further. Following the recent tragedies in Bangladesh garment factories, she has issued a note regarding safety and fairness in the workplace. She has also recommended a Supplier Code of Conduct which requires suppliers to sign off that they will not use child labor and will abide by certain health and safety standards. See her note below and links to her Code of Conduct. Have you a code in place for your brand? If not, you can consider using Diane’s template!
