London Fashion Week has come and gone and we can now sit back and take in the good, the bad and the the ones we just can’t make our minds up about. The media continue to obsess over Rhianna’s River Island collection and the buyers are fighting to get their hands on Christopher Kane and Peter Pilotto’s A/W collections. Here at Wigsandgowns there’s one designer we can’t get out of our heads – Sophia Webster.
It’s Edward Scissorhands meets The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe meets Clueless” said Webster of her latest collection
Webster is the former right hand woman of Nicholas Kirkwood. Her second collection was true to her playful, quirky aesthetic. Using holographic fabrics, the collection included metallic silver over-the-knee gladiator boots and pink and grey Chelsea over-the-knee boots.
Her bags included a mini artist’s palette and a large cross-body bag in the shape of a metallic unicorn.
Sophia Webster is a true original, pushing the boundaries of fashion while continuing to produce beautiful and wearable styles . Move over Kirkwood, the apprentice has become the master…
